Hello there! I’m Rosie, the Professional Photographer behind Rosemary Despres Photography. I am a global documentary photographer. I travel all over the UK and internationally, and shoot a variety of wedding, corporate, garden and branding photography. I am from the Channel Islands but now reside in Devon in the UK. Selected clients include shooting Press for the BBC Gardener's World Live Shows, Greenpeace, RSPB and KPMG. I'm privileged to have one of my photos from the 209 Women Project of MP Michele Donelan, being held in Parliament's Collection.

Nature and Art mean the most to me. I am a highly creative person; if I’m not taking photos, I’m outside or making art in a variety of mediums - I love painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramic, embroidery, crotchet... I studied Fine Art at University, and worked for many years in Art Galleries and for the Royal Photographic Society. This naturally artistic eye informs my work. I often photograph from a distance so I can frame things in the photo, and love looking through things like flowers. I’m always drawn to different angles, capturing the little details, and love working with the light.  I spend a lot of time outside each day enjoying Nature and enjoy foraging.

I photograph in a very natural, not intrusive way, and I just take on a small number of shoots each year so that I can devote a lot of time to them; I do really care about my clients. Taking on such a small number each year means that we can get to know everyone and personalise everything to you. I am so honoured and touched to be have been chosen to be the Photographer now for so many different people; and get to travel all over the world.

'Working with Rosie was lovely, from start to finish. She helped to create a mood board that beautifully captured the essence of what I had hoped to convey, and it gave me a chance to really engage with the somewhat daunting task of a complete website overhaul (still in progress). On the day of the shoot, we walked about 8 miles (and it was hot), to all the locations I'd hoped to capture as backdrops. Rosie didn't falter, she just walked with me and shared her vision with me as I pointed out the places I'd chosen. She took many shots and presented me with the edited selection, which reflected the different moods we'd pinpointed beforehand. I highly recommend Rosie as a professional, creative and compassionate photographer. Thanks, Rosie!!'  Jenny, 'The Power of Change'
